Printy Print Prints June 2012

When you hear the word 'prints' you most likely think of stripes, flowers, polka dots, zig zags, tribal or animal (zebra, cheetah, leopard etc). But have you thought about fruits, actual animals or food on a piece of material much less clothing?

Well this summer, bring out your inner child with these fun and cutesy prints. When I see these prints I think of when I would go with my mom to the material store in the Central or Northern part of Trinidad to buy cloth for sewing. I remember I chose plaid, polka dots and Winnie the pooh....yes I said it, Winnie the Pooh. I remember it was a long dress with spaghetti straps and I wore that for New Year's eve midnight church service...that was in the 90s ofcourse.

Ur Such a Pouty Mouth! June 2012

Quick note to self..BRIGHT LIPS are resurfacing for the summer days. Tangerine, Coral, Orange, Orange-Red, Hot Pink are seen on celebrities everywhere.

A high school friend of mine had asked my advice on an orange-red colour she wanted to try on her lips a couple months ago when these rich bright hues had just hit the Spring scenes and that prompted me to also experiment. I personally tried the coral and loved it. I also have a fuchsia pink by Ives St. Laurent which I absolutely loveeeee!

Now not all colours go well with your skin tone. It's a good idea to let a makeup artist or make-up counter rep let you know what goes well with your skin tone before you look like a 4yr old drew all over you with a red crayon.

I must attest that brand like Loreal Colour Riche, NYC, and Cover Girl are inexpensive and work well. But if you want brand-bran stuff, NARS, IVS ST. LAURENT, CHANEL & MAC are Modeliciously Fabulous! (I really want to try m'orange by MAC).

Skirt-astic! June 2012

Fashionistas

I know it seems as if I've been missing for like 4eva from the blog scene. But anywayz, I always gotta keep yal in the know for June 2012.

So according to my dear Cosmo, SKIRTS are swishing the runways left & right. The celebrities are wearing them in every cut, colour and print. I haven't been seeing the long ones as much as the short and knee length ones which are stacking up the clothing racks like hot bread. I'm sure you have one from high school you can restore from the bottom of your drawer to the front of your closet door. If not, then the websites below have them at great prices.Pair them with heels or pumps for a full eye-waw effect!

TIP: To re-fashionize an old skirt, check out a fabric store and add GLITTER, LACE or STUDS for cheap. All in all Be Creative, Have Fun & a Happy Father's Day to new and current dads. THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ.
