Christmas Cheer for a Santa-nista baby

HO HO HO....
ok Fashionistas, during this time of Christmas wishes, celebrating the Christ child that was born and the duties of gift giving, why not play Santa yourself and grant yourself some presents..SANTA-NISTA STYLE BABY!!! Im not even going to list the usuals such as: perfume, body washes, scented lotions, giftcards, manicures, pedicures, facials..THAT'S SO MONOTONOUS...C'MON, GET SOME CHRISTMAS SPIRIT AND (APPLE-CINNAMON)-SPICE UP THESE COUPLE DAYS before the year end with these BOLD, DARING PIECES!
ZIPFRONT SKIRT- Remember Kriss Kross wearing their pants bakwards? well designers have taken the traditional back zipper in the skirt and placed it 2 the front 4 added style. Do u dare to try? If you can't buy, use ur own skirts in your closet and turn them around to make the style. Who says improvising can't be done.
SEQUINS MINI-SKIRT- So another idea, is grab shiny skirts that are on crazy sale this holiday and pair them with dark or light colours. Ofcourse try not to wear everything shiny otherwise don't be suprised if ur alias becomes 'DISCO BALL,' 'TINSEL' or 'SHINY!'
SEE-THRU SHOOZ- It's Lingerie for your feet and adds noticeable style in a sassy way! Ya i know it's cold but are we standing outside in the cold 2 wear these shoes?? I hope not cuz if you are, then you need 2 change your career or past-time (wink wink).
METALLIC DRESS- Yes I said mettalic. Ofcourse u can experiemnt with such material. Just pair it with a nice sweater or jacket in dark or light colours such as black or white.
LEATHER DRESS- so other than jackets, leather can also be made into other articles of clothing. But this winter leather dresses have been hitting the scene in Hollywood! If too expensive, try a faux-leather version.
So during your last minute gift shopping errands, see which one or ones you'd like to TREAT YOURSELF 2! As always, have fun, enjoy the Christmas season and BE DARING! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Ideal Glitz n Glamour pour les vacances(for the holidays)!

Ladies ,

Quick tips for a sassy cold and wintery holiday. Try a couple of these ideas and see which one works well. For those trying the lipsticks:
the Plums- dark skinned girls can try plum or deep grape while fair girls can use burgundy hues.

the Pinks- which is my fav; dark skin girls try the cotton candy or fuchsia (which I, a dark skin chica have tried, see pic) and fair girlies try deep rose colours.
the Oranges- darker complexions will look great in a burnt orange hue while fairer complexions will blend well with coral colours.

Glitter Lips are a trend for the holidays but please do not glitterize to the point that you look like a human christmas ornament!

Try an eye catcher trick- mix olive eyeshadow with navy eyeliner which, believe it or not, adds glamour and flirtiness to your peepers!

Who said the holidays aren't fun?? Have fun with the colours for the holidays and HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY AMERICAN FASHIONISTAS..let's all be thanksful for the wonderful gifts of life, family, friends and God! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Spice up ur Winter Life 2010!

My dear Fashionistas!

R u feeling the chill in the air, the smell of cinnamon and admiring the gorgeous decorations on sale for Christmas? Well at least in America, yes, that's the start to the Pre- Christmas Winter Season. So not to be drab with your styles this year, spice it up with some CREATIVE PIECES. Check it out:

RED LEOPARD- Rarrrrr! animal print in a vivacious colour really adds spice to any atmosphere. Experiment in wearing it in a dress, blouse, skirt or shoe.

METALLIC BUSTIER- Gives a smooth and fashionista look for any event. Plus the bustier part gives your boobs an extra lift...who wouldnt love that!
GOLD LAME-(pron. la-may) it's shiny just like the christmas tree ornaments but goes well with dark pieces, shoes or accessories since it's already a bright colour. It can be a dress, pants, jacket or skirt. Just wear wisely.

FRINGE EARRINGS- like chandelier designs, fringe-styles add glamour to your ears. Wear them with a your hair up in a pont tail, to the side or in a bun.

FEATHER SKIRT- No you wouldn't look like a bird but wear it with soft pieces like satin, chiffon or silk blouses and knock it off w/ some booties, whether embellelished or not!

As always, be adventurous and have fun with these styles! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

R U C-ing RED!!!

My dear Fashionistas,

We all know that winter brings in the darkest of dark colours. But this fall, the top colour that make its way to the forefront is not gray or dark brown but RED! Yes! Whether it's a shoe, purse, dress, pant, coat, skirt, top or tights, this outstanding hue doesn't only spell COURAGE and CONFIDENCE but it also says, "look out world, I'm here to CONQUER!" So put on your best catwalk, smize and mesmerize! Have fun with the colour but ofcourse don't bloodshot people's vision by dressing in all red or crimson. Mix pieces and if you do wear full red, accessories should be solid like metallics or black. Check out the websites below for more ideas. THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Tantilizing tights!

Hi Fashionistas,

This is a quick note to update you all on fall's funky fashion faze...Tantilizing Tights for your hawt legs! Over the years, stockings or tights would be the basic sheer black, beige, brown or white and about two years ago the introduction of opaque tights came to the forefront. These tights were not-sheer ofcourse and they felt thicker which came in handy for really cold days during the fall and winter season. In 2009, the colours of the tights became vast where opaque reds, turquoises, yellows, navies, pinks and maroons surfaced as funky accessories for shoes. Now in 2010, tights experimentation has reached a high where simple netted designs have branched out to peekaboo styles, metallic prints, floral designs or simple chunky-style-school-girl-socks! I recently bought the floral design and trust me, they pulled more eyes to my legs as if they were all toned and shaved! They really compliment a simple outfit or fancy schmancy shoes! So girls, have fun, don't be afraid to experiment, after all we are FASHIONISTAS...DARE TO GO THERE! This is Fashionista Newz!

The rite SHADE for ur FACE!

My Dear Fashionistas,

Hope the summer is treating you well and you are digesting as much water-based products to replenish what the mighty heat is taking from your body. Other ways to protect your fashionista body is by wearing sunscreen and wearing sun glasses so your peepers remain young and fresh. But not all shades fit your face....sometimes we wear sunglasses that do not bring out the true beauty of our facial structure. But Cosmo august 2010 edition gave a hint of how to maximize the right shade for your face.

TRIANGLE FACES- Aviators have somewhat of a triangular shape which flows well with this outline
OVAL FACES- cat eye glassses accentuates your facial curves
HEART FACES- Big oval shades goes inline with heart-shaped features
SQUARE FACES- Round shades takes away from pronounced square features
ROUND FACES- Wayfarers or that-so-90s! sunglasses adds a fun contrast

So now you have an idea, you can find affordable sunglasses at the below stores since summer is almost up and there will be sale sale sale. Also don't be afraid to buy diffferent colours. You'll be suprised the differenct a blue-rimmed avaiators or yellow lenses can make. So take advantage of the bargains, have fun, and protect your sultry, fashionista eyes! Sweet Summer Picker-uppers

My dear Fashionistas, we are in the month of July and in about a month or so, you will be previewing Fall 2010 fashion. But before we jump the fall gun, let's still savor the summer we have with some SWEET SUMMER PICKER-UPPERS!

A Backless Dress- summer is obviously to hot to wear long sleeve frocks so why not add a little creativity to your spaghetti straps outfits by having a backless dress that shows off your feminine side.

Bright Shoes- just like bright nail polish, play up a dark coloured dress or outfit with a bright shoe. If you think your ensemble is plain, throw in a bright-coloured shoe and you'll see the diff it makes.

Neon under-wha?- last summer you neonized your nails but is it possible that your underwear will be baring the same?? Cosmo caught up with this nouveau fashion statement as certain department stores are shelving these brighty-undies for this summer as an alt option in undie-wearing styles.

One Shoulder Dress- one or cold shoulders have been a behind-the-scenes style for a while but nothing says alter ego than by having one shoulder out showing your soft and another covered not revealing your hidden agendas.

Something Sheer- if you think wearing a backless may be showing too much skin, then try to alternate with something sheer which shows skin but undercover.
Check out these sites for more inspiration. Have Fun! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Swimsuit Edition 2010-swim in style

Dear Fashionistas,

So we are all feeling the sting of the sun rays and the beach or pool is calling out to us to soothe our sun-dried skin. So ofcourse I'll share a couple tips with you, so you can maximize your water experience. This summer, the print designs and shapes are so eye-catching that you may be spending a couple dollars more on more than one. Better yet, most of these stores have super summer sale...TAKE ADVANTAGE!
Frills/ruffles, Triangle/Padded tops-
for small chested girls, the extra material on top makes you look a little fuller.

Empire Waist, Belted, Colour-block, Tankini-
for girls with a small, non-pregnant belly bump, the empire waist, color block or belted swimsuits will attract eyes to the top rather than your stomach. The tankini covers your belly in a fashionable way and if the tankini has patterns or designs, it distracts from your belly even more.

Boy shorts, Darker bottoms, Low rise-
for girls that have BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY ROCKING EVERYWHERE! Boy shorts, dark-coloured or low rise bottoms really distracts if you have a little junk in the trunk.

Underwire, Thick straps, Wide bands, Deep V-necks-
for girls with a high volume of boobs! These ideas provide support rather than accidently falling out of thin-strapped bikini tops.

Then we have just for fun pieces. See which accentuates your shape and have fun with them! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Atencion! Get Glamo in CAMO

So the Memorial day weekend just passed us a week ago where Americans honored their fallen and still in combat soldiers. But who says military wear is just for soldiers?? Well my dear Fashionistas, "Stand At Ease" with a couple army-like looks either for the day or for the night.

Just mix & match these ideas to pull of your glam military style...you may not have to shop so start digging into your closest- I know you'll find something.

COLOURS TO LOOKS FOR:
dark greens, tan, white, brown, gold, black or camouflage (stick to green rather than coloured camouflage).

CLOTHING:
white tank tops, military-like shirts, cargo shorts, camo skirts. If you choose to wear camo, MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT CAMO-ED FROM HEAD TO TOE but mix pieces to give you that hard-but-glamourous appeal!

ACCESORIES:
Chain belts, metallic earrings bracelets or necklaces....even dog-tags. Gold, black, white, brown or metallic handbags.

SHOES:
Cage-like wedges, heels or flats (sandals or whole shoes) but no military/timberland boots to pull it off...it's summer 4 crying out loud and you are not doing a rap video much less working construction.
This is just a small break before the Swimsuit-advice edition post hits. So do some brainstorming and be the best Fashionista soldier you can be! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Pre-Summer Pick-ups!

Just a short note to let my Fashionistas know of a couple pre-summer pick-me-ups to get you in the mood for Summer 2010! No I don't mean popsicles or watermelon....hahaha, I mean cute summer-esque things! Such as....
1.Brightly Printed bags
Nothing says summer like a nice, artistic printed bag whether its asymetrical or waterpaint flowery prints in bright colours, they add vibrancy to a solid colour swimsuit or summer dress.

2. Swimsuits in High-hues
Yeah you can wear your black and dark coloured swimsuits but summer says sun, sea and sand which aren't dark colours but bright hues like yellows, pinks, oranges! Also the designs this summer leaves so much to the imagination that monokinis have taken a backseat for a while. Summer swimsuit edition soon to come!

3.Nail polish
Paint your toesies in the bright pinks, oranges and rosy corals.

4.Bright shorty-shorts
You can still wear your jeans but why not give ur bottoms some colour- pink, purple, yellow, blue, green..... COLOURIZE UR BUM!

5.Printed tunics/cover-ups
Get a nicely printed tunic or bathing suit cover up that can be worn with the bathing suit or without it so it becomes an actual outfit when you add some heels or wedges! Who says 2 for 1 doesn't coem in handy!
