About

Fashionista Newz  began in June 2009 as a way to portray my innate fashionista knowledge and ideas via an editorial style. Posts are made weekly and update the reader on the hottest and latest fashion trends for each season as soon as it hits the press. Fashionista Newz also informs about cosmetics, nail designs with a couple visuals and affordable sites added to help the reader obtain the items displayed.

Fashionista Newz will eventually expand to print as an actual magazine but in the meantime, let your soul be filled with happy, creative postings about bold, unusual yet traditional and chic styles of fashion. I hope you enjoy the postings as much as I enjoy writing them and as always, HAVE FUN and BE CREATIVE!

ABOUT THE BLOGGER:

Ms. Atarah Samaroo is a native of the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and has always enjoyed creative writing and drawing as a child.

After migrating to the United States to continue her quest for tertiary education, she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and later a Masters in Communication Arts with a specialization in Electronic Media.

It was during her Masters degree she became intrigued with the fashion industry and that prompted her to write her thesis on the influence of fashion magazine in the media. Her thesis, "The Price of Being Trin- the migration of thinness from America to the Caribbean," was chosen to be published and by graduation, she became a published author.

Her writing didn't stop at the thesis, it continued during her internship at the Broward-Palm Beach NewsTimes newspaper and at a local fashion magazine where she was hired as an Editor  and Creative Project Assistant.

It was during this time her innate fashion sense and skills became groomed for  the future as she started her fashion blog and explored her skills in the makeup industry.

Better yet, as of July 2014, I've achieved the title of a Certified Image Consultant!

Sept. 2014, I launched my official website with official logo! I am truly grateful and blessed that a few months of hard work has paid off. I'm not done...there's more to come from A. NICHELLE and CO.
