New makeup palettes for Summer 2014

Summer is still here; some of us maybe enjoying the warm sun, sea and sand while others are quite fine in the ac! Either way you choose to enjoy your summer, those of you who are make-up fanatics or just enjoy new colours, many top brands came out with new palettes that can be worn for day and night, bridal, dramatic or just that simple natural look.

LORAC PRO PALETTE 2

Has everything from matte to shimmer to light to dark colous. An array of textures to play with!

UD NAKED BASICS

Just the right amount of colours for those who aren't into makeup, think the full Naked palettes are just too much colours or need a taste of the Naked line for the right price.

TOO FACED ROCK AND ROLL AND COUNTRY PALETTES

Very cute take-me palettes that gives you enough colours to do just a daytime and nightime/ smokey look!

UD PULP FICTION

 Just the right compact case for those who want that natural 'no-makeup' makeup look

 ANASTASIA AMBREZY PALETTE

This is a great go-to palette..lots of colours and textures to play with by itself, for natural, daytime, nightime or dramatic looks. This reminds me of UD's Deluxe palette...small all the basic colours you need and that's all I use for work or mix with other colour palettes depending on the look I'm going for.

A lot of girls say, "I don't like makeup and I wouldn't spend my money on that!" and that's great. Some of us just like to enhance what we already have and I'm here to recommend and not insist. So for those who enjoy makeup or just want simple choices to play in, the above choices are an awesome start.

My nifty summer find- Summer 2014

So it is summer or August vacation depending on what country or side of the world you are in and summer this season is about neon colours, prints, graphics, whites, backless, high slits and more. So you have an array of styles and colours to choose from.

I had an ALL WHITE party boat ride to attend..and knowing me...I'm not wearing any plain white anything. So ofcourse I went to my source gojane.com and found this gorg cut-out white dress. I chose the cut out because it gave the illusion of a super hour-glass figure...and in the fashion world..that's the ideal figure to have. The only thing is the back is cut as low as the front...which leaves you 2 choices..no bra or you find a long-lined bra.

But my long line bra you can see it where the cut outs are..and I preferred that it doesn't show. So I took the challenge to go on amazon and search for something that can work. I don't have super huge boobs and pasties weren't cutting it for me..I wanted something you can't see, covers my boobs yet gives you a lift....so I found something called the strapless invisible bra!

I bought the black and the natural because I knew I was going to wear tan with my white dress so the natural should be ok. I contemplated buying the white also...but I wanted to test run these things as I really didnt have much of an option.

Well my dears..just know I'm going to buy all the colours! It does exactly what I described I was looking for and it looked exactly as the pic lol. The adhesive is very sticky...I danced all night and that stayed in place and the hook to the front never un-hooked...boobs stayed put!

This is great for girls with cup sizes a thru c....anything bigger will not be as effective. So check amazon if ever in need of this.

I'm now...Atarah Samaroo, CIC!

CIC?

Oh pre-tell what CIC means? Well my dear Fashionistas, I am pleased to announce that as of July 2014, I am now a Certified Image Consultant (CIC)!
 An Image what??? What does that mean? Never really heard of that before.

Well I've always considered myself to be different...I like different..I do things different, I dress different...I don't follow the crowd..I usually stand out...and so begins this quest to go against the norm!

See let's back track a bit. I know I love makeup...I love accessories and helping people put outfits together...I love fashion and writing about the new trends for the season....I love creativity and bright colours. With all these things I love, wanted to practice and eventually make a business out of, I thought Cosmetology school was the path I needed to take to achieve more skills in these areas. But it was by mere fate while researching for a Cosmetology school, I stumbled upon a career called..... Image Consulting.

In short, an Image Consultant is trained in helping someone or a client with their appearance, behavior and communication. I am certified to style, apply makeup and perform wardrobe/ closet/ personal makeovers to name a few and this my dears, encompassed everything I mentioned I loved. I'm not just a stylist or a makeup artist in training or a personal shopper....I can do all these and more.

So now what?
 Well now I can practice and fortify my skills with the training I've received. This is only the beginning as I continue to build and achieve my other goals in line with this vision.

You see, it started out with a thought...which planted a seed..which created visions...which brought these visions into fruition and for this reason I give all thanks to God; for without Him I wouldn't have been able to do this and this is why I truly believe He has a plan for each and every one of us. It got to a point where I didn't care who believed in me..I BELIEVED in myself and the abilities that God has blessed me with. I am forever grateful and still a bit overwhelmed that I, Atarah Samaroo, am now a Certified Image Consultant!
