So it's been a while. As I noted on my facebook page, I travelled to my home country (Trinidad and Tobago) for carnival. However, after I came back, I got the flu very badly. Not fully recovered but I'm well enough to give yall the 411 for Spring 2013.
This trend is on the runway but in select stores and mayn't reach the masses. However I still wanted to inform you all of the Bollywood/Indian style that's out there....not necessarily the actual saris. India has a rich culture for trading of spices, jewelry and textile materials aka cloth. Their type of print isn't uncanny but it is recognized by the mixture of the following together- silks, embroidery, satin, embellishments.
In Trinidad & Tobago where the East Indian culture is very heavily instrumented in the main culture, I'm quite familiar with the style. Below are some examples if I ever see in stores I shop, I'll actually purchase!
So this is something to check out whenever you do see it. THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!
