Happy 2nd week of 2017 Fashionistas!

I've been seeing some trends that have been around and those which are kinda new to my eyes. But I will not keep what I'm not keen about from you. So for this week, check out 2 styles for the ladies:


The Slipdress:
This is a bit peculiar for me but looking at the actual style, it's a really nice twist to your regular dress. The silk or satin material will really give it that 'nighty or night gown' look and is seen worn by itself or with tights or jeans. The Admiral Jacket:
We've seen this style of jacket and coat before. it actually reminds you of the way old American and English military and army coats and jackets were made. This is particularly for those Fashionistas who live in cold countries and if you don't and still want to indulge in this style, go for it. Look for lighter versions so you don't burn up trying to be trendy.

Oxblood Makeup for Fall 2016

The burgundy continues for Fall 2016 with makeup in wine and oxblood colours!

It depends how much money you want to spend but all brands right now are trending with this colour...so enjoy!!!!

I already had a wine colour from NYX cosmetics and I just got the sugar plum fairy from Wet and Wild cosmetics and  I love it.

Try your hand with this colour but I would suggest to not come across as dead...find a colour depending on your undertones. Dark skin will have look great with a colour that has more purple than red as purple is in dark complexions. Fair and light complexions can try a richer dark wine red that will go well with their pink or yellow undertones.

Stars & Leather- Fall 2016

Hallo Fashionistas!

Along with denim, animal print and burgundy that's out for the fall season, you can add these few looks that celebs are rocking nonchalantly...Stars in all sizes and colours and the infamous leather pants.

CELESTIAL SIGHTINGS:

Stars are in the form of prints in clothing and accessories in earrings, shoes and purses. If you can find them, add a few to your collection. You'll feel heavenly and like an actual "star" with this print. I found a few starry looks at www.makechic.com and www.amazon.com. 

LEATHER PANTS:

In the countries where it is chilly, leather comes in handy...keeps you warm. However to be respectful of those who are against animal being used for human clothing and consumption, faux leather will be the best bet. Major Fall Colour Alert! - Fall 2016

I'm sure by now you've seen this colour all over...Burgundy. Usually Fall into Winter gives you a dark trend colour and honestly I love it this year.

I'm not a burgundy fan and own nothing burgundy until now. Burgundy really pairs well with ox-blood make up colours (upcoming blog post) and main colours like black, tan or white...even go as far as leopard.

I think this will grow on me and I already  invested in a sweet burgundy flouncy top...can't wait to wear it out this season. Have a try of it...doesn't hurt to go outside your colour comfort.
