New Makeup Gifts for Christmas 2017

Hallo Fashionistas!

So Thanksgiving is about 4 days away and I'm sure everybody is up to date with all the makeup deals and steals coming out for the holidays (especially from the Ulta catalog) including Stila Glitter and Glow liquid eyeshadows, Anastasia Prism eyeshadow palette, Urban Decay Heavy Metallic palette or the Becca Apres Ski Glow face palette.

But there are some new kids on the block that are definitely gift worthy either for your gift list or.... yourself (wink wink).

TARTE MAGIC STAR COLLECTOR SET
I'm guessing the name comes from the fact that when you open the collection it is in the shape of a 4 point star!
This set to me, is for those who are now familiarizing themselves with makeup and want to access everything in one area. The eyeshadow palette comes in a lovely selection of colours  from black to golds to white, the end corners are furnished for cheeks with blush and highlight, accessorized with a mascara, lips and eyeliner. Just an organized one stop shop.

TOO FACED PRETTY LITTLE PLANNER
This is also a set of earth tone colours- reds, pinks, grays, in a palette along with an actual year planner for 2018, some cool stickers and ofcourse a mini "better than sex" mascara. I love the title of the planner...WAKE UP, MAKEUP, REPEAT!

NYX MEET THE METALLICS VAULT
I'm an NYX fanatic  because they have great lip products for an affordable price. This set combines some awesome berry and nude colours from the dark burgundy to browns. If I'm not mistaken, this is a great steal for $25.

Blue- Fall 2017

Hello Fashionistas!

This post is beyond short because I saw in Cosmo mag, another colour for fall is BLUE, my favorite colour!

It's not just a type of blue, it's different hues of blue (lightest to darkest) either worn together or separate and the colour is very prominent in either clothing or accessories.

I'm quite sure this is a colour that you have in your closet an if not then you need to splurge on some blue hunny. As always have fun and be creative...especially it's the holidays! THIS IS FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

Fall Fashion Forward 2017- Pt. 2

So we're back this week for part 2 and Fall brings out another lovely colour for the season along with which boots or booties should you be rocking. Thanks to Cosmo mag, they specified which booties are in. Some of these you may have already in your closet and if not, it's an awesome time to snab a few pairs from either online or in stores.

Fall Fashion Forward 2017

Hola Fashionistas!

I've been out a bit because I participated in something called Miami Carnival. Carnival for those who don't know, is a street festival like Mardi Gras where you wear a costume and parade with music on a truck. In Miami we don't get the street, we get a huge park which is good enough I guess but it does not compare to the original carnival in Trinidad and Tobago.

So we're in the Fall season and you've gotten a taste of the makeup that's out and about including Rihanna's 40 foundation makeup collection, Fenty, now it's time to touch base with the fashion side. So here's what out:

RED- Santa's colour of the season

New Makeup Pt. 2- Fall 2017

Hello Fashionistas!

As of Fri 22 Sept. 2017 it is officially Fall. So this blog continues with the makeup that's out for Fall 2017 and it just keeps getting better and better and more creative. Have a look below:

CLINIQUE FIT

My Oh My! I think 1 of my dreams came through. I love wearing makeup and wear it everywhere possible except for situations where I"ll sweat up a storm. Sweating and makeup = a massive breakout for my skin so I avoid that. But Clinique probably read our fashionista minds and created a line of makeup that stays in place while being active...HIGH 5 CLINIQUE! You really think about healthy skin for makeup lovers!

MAC PERSONALITY PALETTES

This is as creative as you can get with makeup. Mac came up with 4 personality palettes for gals who wear certain colours all the time or depending on your mood. So for the those who like the natural look all the time especially for work there's POWER HUNGRY. If you like colour but still light and nude-ish there's the PRISSY PRINCESS palette. For those who like warm colours...which will be bomb for the Fall season, there's MISCHIEF MINX and for those who love a smokey eye no matter the time of day, DARK & SMOKEY was made for you. What's your personality?

PUR MY LITTLE PONY PALETTE- Limited Edition!

This was the cutest palette I've seen maybe because of the name and also the colours. I loved my little pony tv show back in the day when you believed animals can talk and the palette's colours is an great representation of each colour of each pony. Wonderful idea!

Makeup for Fall 2017 took it up a notch and I'm loving it...I'm definitely gonna be purchasing the clinique fit!

New Makeup- Fall 2017

Hola Fashionistas!

Well it has been a while because as we welcomed September, here comes hurricane Irma to Florida, which is where yours truly reside. I knew something was brewing in the Caribbean but I refused to believe that it was coming this way. But as I stepped off  my flight from NYC, I was hit with...Irma is coming to Florida and as a Category 5. Now I didn't experience hurricane Andrew which was a Cat 5 and destroyed Florida but now Irma was twice the size of Andrew and ofcourse panic mode began. Making sure shutters were on, having enough food supplies, water and gas....prepping for a hurricane is stress. Should I have evacuated? I could have but my family are here and we hunkered down and stayed positive. The closer Irma came, she changed her path so instead of a direct hit, we got the outer bands weather which was still much but it did damage in the Caribbean and Key West islands and Florida had many without electricity. But we remain Florida Strong!

Soooo as I return to fashion normalcy. Fall has some snazzy makeup to indulge in. Lots of  semi dark colours that blends in with the season.

New Fall Lips 2017

Halo my dear Fashionistas!

As August and summer start dwindling down and the school term is about to re-open, for us glam girls we have some new lip products to test and spurge on for Fall 2017.

NARS-Narsissist Velvet Lip Glide Set
So you're traveling and your not sure which lip colour to travel with? Well Nars got you with their  Velvet Lip set of 5 colours on the berry side that's best for on the go. Problem solved! It is limited edition so you gotta jump on this train ASAP!

TOO FACED Melted Latex Liquefied High Shine Lipstick
So we all know how well the Melted lip colours were. For Fall, they amped their game up by taking these lip colours to another level as latex liquefied high shine. You can't get glossier than that! There's 15 shades to choose from.

NYX Slip Tease Lip Oil
I love how NYX always add something to the creativity plate of cosmetics. Lip Oil from NYX is a  mixture pigment rich colour that goes on silky and dries like a satin matte.So it's not quite oil but gives the illusion that there's a type of oil shine when applied.

So even though August just started, it's already considered pre-fall. Summer is still around because I can feel that summer stifling heat but we do have some goodies to look forward to that you can play and portray.

SUMMER OUTFITS 2017- Pt. 2

Fashionistas!

As we're into the last of July and I'm sure you're having a time at the beach and other outdoor events. The summer sun  is not kind but at least you have snazzy outfits to chill out in. So part 2 brings us to a couple more styles of the mid dress and cold shoulders.

MID-DRESS:

A dress that reaches from knees to mid shin for the right balance to wear with heels or flats.

COLD SHOULDER:

 A top, shirt, dress or romper where the shoulders are exposed.

I'm loving these fun styles....I may splurge on a few (lol). In the meantime, have fun and be creative. This is FASHIONISTA NEWZ!

SUMMER OUTFITS 2017- Pt. 1

Halo Fashionistas!

Summer is officially here and I'm loving the cutesy outfits I'm seeing this year. For a while rompers have been out but this summer flower patterned wide leg rompers are the latest summer trend. Whether off the shoulder, cold shoulder, tube cut or halter are all fun styles to incorporate in this summer's wear.

Another patterned style that I'm absolutely loving is the matching 2 piece...top and pants or top and skirt. Mostly the tops are cropped and the pants can be shorts, wide legs or skinny fit. The skirts can be flare whether short or long or pencil high waist. Cute ideas for the summer.

Now, what kind of makeup would you wear with these outfits? It can go from neutral to dramatic but I won't get started on makeup as I'm a colourful, dramatic makeup person. What I would suggest is the newest colours for your summer mani and pedi will come from Essie's "Wild Nudes" collection. I guess with all the colours for summer...I guess your nails and toes can be a little toned with some cool nude colours.
