Just SkirtASTIC! Fall 2013

Soooo!

There's this trend taking over the stores everywhere called ..THE SKATER SKIRT. I'm usually not far off from fashion reports but not for hell I could figure WHY is this skirt named a skater skirt. I thought it was named after female SKATE boarders..but no..that doesn't make sense. So I googled it since none of my fashion sources didn't really go into the history of a 'Skater" skirt.

So Fashionistas... a SKATER SKIRT issssss..a skirt that has a waist band, sits high on the waist, cut in a circular pattern to offer a flare appearance and ends before the knees which mimics..r u ready for this??... the skirt of a figure SKATER!!!!

Ohhhh gotcha! So now, Fall has taken the uniform style of a sport and incorpated into fashion!! (I wish I was the genius behind this!!!). I absolutely love this trend and I bought one the other day because it was soooo cute.

You can rock it with a shirt, a sweater, a vest/tank top, a tube top..sleeves, no sleeves, long sleeves, cap sleeves.with pumps, with loafers, with flats, with boots, with booties...name it, you can rock it with a skater skirt!

As always, I say splurge..these babies can go from anywhere from $15..ofcourse I love a sale and $15 isn't bad at all. check out the ones below..arent they cuteee!

Ofcourse this is me..was under the weather when I wore this but i LOVE MY SKIRT none the less!

Shoozies for ur Toezies- Fall 2013

Since Fall is here, you have the combo type shoes re-appearing. U know which ones..the boot/peep toe/strappy type shoe which are better known as booties.

Booties this rounds are more on the peep-toe side, not necessarily the mary-jane round-toe style and are on the neutral side. A lot of beiges, blacks, whites, dark colours or animal print designs are out with lots of laser-cut and buckle-type designs.

TIP- Booties are to be worn with well manicured toes and do not incorporate with footed stockings which defeats the purpose of 'PEEP-TOE' booties.

Do wear with skater skirts (next blog entry), knee length full skirt dresses or shorts!

Waw Fashionistas!!

It's September already..seriously where did August go? Well September which is the intro to Fall brings a lot of funky and cute trends I have already taken advantage of and will continue to.
