Ins & Outs for beginning of 2010

Fashionistas! Hope all have been well with you all and you have been utilizing the stylish tips I've shared to help you decide what to wear, when and how. As I glance through a late copy of my fav mag, Cosmo, here are a couple tips to help fashionistas gear up for the new year of 2010.

Eins

OUT- WIDE LEGS

IN- BLACK LEGGINGS

In regards to this, I don't see a problem with wide legs because it fits well on the curvaceous fashionistas better than the skinny ones. However, Cosmo suggested that you fold up your wide legs in your closet until the next time it's in season and strut your stuff in black leggings. " What...Leggings!" you say. Yes girls leggings but not any leggings...BLACK LEGGINGS! With leggings yes you show your curves or little you may have but with BLACK leggings, the trick is, it slims you and gives a smooth appeal. Greater addition to these are long tops that cover your butt so the focus will never be on how big your butt looks in leggings but a nice flow of material from neck to ankles!

OUT- Full, round skirts
IN- BANDAGE SKIRTS
I like full skirts but then again bandage skirts give a HAWT attraction! The stretchy material isn't going to make you look like a half wrapped 'mummy' but it will cling to your body shape and give he curves you didn't think you had!



Drei
OUT- Floor length dresses
IN- FLOOR LENGTH JUMPERS
Last year, I spoke about Rompers. Now just imagine rompers but in a longer version. I just got a pair of jeans jumper but it's not like a farmer brown ofcourse...it's more feminine either it being a tubed, 1-shoulder or racer back selection or a soft material that flows along with your body shape. 2 Rules Cosmo offers: 1- It has to be flowy & balloon-like where it's fitted at the top and flows out at the bottom & 2- it shouldnt be high-waisted/empire-cut but cuts at the waistline.

OUT- cute pointy-tip boots
IN- MOTOCYCLE BOOTS
This is well said. Don't throw out your current boots but maybe for a bit of comfort you may want to invest in some comfort boots like the motocycle boots where the heel is low and it's all about the buckles, studs & zippers baby!

HAPPY NEW HAIR 2010 n more!

My dear Fashionistas! Prosperous and successful 2010 to you all. I know great things are in store for all of us. We just have to believe what we can't see. I know for me, God has already blessed me with an amazing year of 2010. I am alive to see January 1st, 2010 and I continue to thank God for his many blessings and favours He has bestowed on my life and those of my friends and family. As Joel Osteen reiterates from the bible...THIS IS MY YEAR OF JUBLIEE & EVERYTHING THAT HAS MY NAME ON IT HAS ALREADY COME IN(TO THE PHYSICAL).

Along with such great Faith and encouragement comes a little sassiness for your tresses. Normally your locks are either flat ironed, curled, coloured, crimped or in a ponytail. But for these winter cold months, try adding some glitz to your glamour by adding bold, shiny accessories to your hair. It is a 1920's/1930's inspired wear, where jewelry, sequins or flowers are added to the hair via a clip, bow, band or hair comb and what wonders it can do for a simple outfit for the day or a dressed up outfit for the night. Most times you would see these at weddings but this is 2010..Make your own statement by wearing them anywhere you want to. Check the websites below for ideas and even if you are strapped for cash, try making your own. Use brooches or pins from your grandmother's jewelry box and attach them to your pony holders, bobby pines or hair combs and hats and you'll see what a transformation it makes...whether short or long hair!
